In collaboration with Masjid Jalan Wan Alwi, Tabuan Jaya, we contributed a total of “Bakul Raya” to 110 different needy families and individuals in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Celebrations.
Such “Bakul Raya” consists of snacks, packet drinks, cordial drinks, biscuits and some food ration which will hopefully bless them during this Raya festival.
Many of the recipients are either orphans, children from poor families, single mothers, elderly, OKUs and some with chronic diseases and cancer.
During this festive season it is important we remember those that are needy around us and also play our part to share this festive season joy with them.
Even during this festive season, there are many quarters that choose to divide us and fan the flames or racial and religious sentiments including recent case in KK Mart and even Vern Shoes. While we respect the sensitivities, it is important that we focus on what matters including helping those in need.
When people try to divide, we choose to unite. When people try build walls we will build bridges and understanding.
Every race in Malaysia is like a string. On its own it can easily break but when tied together like a rope, it will be strong. That is the potential that we have when we choose to unite regardless of our race, religion or background.
We need to promote such unity and harmony especially to our youth for them to understand that we are always stronger together as we unite to rebuild our nation.
