Will PM reprimand Ismail Sabri?

Prime Minister Dato Seri Najib Razak should state if the suggestion by his Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister urging Malays to shun chinese businesses to compel them to lower prices, has the stamp of approval and authority of his government.

Ismail Sabri Yaacob has gone wild. He must have very little in his head to have come up with a statement as irresponsible and senseless as that.

But statements like these are common nowadays in this country. The country has moved into an altogether new era of racism and this has, to my mind much to do with a weak if not spineless leadership in Putrajaya, particularly on part of Najib Tun Razak as Prime Minister.

The question now is, what is the Prime Minister going to do about it?

Will he be brave enough to put Ismail in his place, say he is wrong and put things right?

Or will he continue with his ritual of silence and watch by the sidelines whilst such a call takes a somewhat official effect on the chinese business community signifying his muted approval of it?

Or will he instead succumb to pressure from the forces around him and do the usual nothing and hope that this problem will also disappear and go away sometime soon?

As Member of Parliament, I demand that the Prime Minister speak up and put things right. He must reprimand his Minister and reiterate that his government does not support racially tainted calls nor outright racism in their policies, which seems to be the case here.
