To improve school infrastructure and enhance the learning environment for students, my office has allocated RM196,964 to SJK(C) Chung Hua No.1 Kuching for the implementation of several key upgrade projects.
The allocation is aimed at assisting the school in upgrading its physical facilities, allowing both students and teachers to benefit from a safer, more comfortable, and more inspiring learning environment.
Education is the most worthwhile investment for the future. We have both the responsibility and the duty to create better learning spaces for the next generation. Whether it’s in terms of teaching equipment, school safety, or student well-being, we must continue to improve.
According to the school, the funding will be used for four main projects. The first involves the installation of stage lighting and a sound system in the school hall to support extracurricular activities, performances, and school assemblies. Secondly, the school will purchase new furniture to replace outdated items, helping to create a more comfortable and structured learning environment.
In addition, to address issues caused by excessive heat and sun exposure, the school will install sun louvres, which are expected to lower indoor temperatures. Most critically, the allocation will fund repairs to the roof and ceiling, ensuring structural safety and preventing issues caused by leakage or ageing infrastructure.
I also appreciate the school for its ongoing cooperation with my office all the time. We hope that all the upgrading works can be completed as soon as possible so that teachers and students can start benefiting from the upgrades without delay.
As an MP, my commitment is to address the needs of educational institutions across my constituency, utilising the parliamentary allocation mechanism to support schools and promote equitable access to resources.
We aim not only to enhance urban schools but also to gradually improve facilities in rural and underserved schools. Every child, regardless of their community background, deserves access to the same quality education.
