Zambry and Chang Ko Youn’s act of playing the trick of a thief crying “stop thief” proves that BN Perak has totally no intention to put aside partisan politics and take a bipartisan approach towards flood relief putting the flood victims’ interest above all political interest.

In a Bernama report yesterday, Perak MB Zambry accused me of politicising the 100k Selangor donation, trying to gain from cheap politics and a politician bankrupt of ideas. In the same report, Perak Gerakan Advisor Chang Ko Youn accused me of trying to seek publicity and exploiting the flood situation for political gains.

Instead of clarifying the issue which was first reported on SelangorKini that the Selangor donation was rejected, both Zambry and Chang chose to go on a series of venomous accusation politicising the issue of 100k Selangor donation.

If the statement from the Selangor Exco Dr Daroyah Alwi was inaccurate, Zambry and Chang should have just clarified it rather than making a political accusation to gain political mileage.

Both Zambry and Chang should look into the mirror when accusing me of politicising the issue while they themselves chose to politicise the issue instead of clarifying the issue.

The accusation by Zambry and Chang is a classic example of BN leaders playing the trick of a thief crying “stop thief”. I couldn’t be clearer in my statement yesterday that DAP Perak is ready to form a bipartisan flood relief team with any BN component party be it UMNO, MCA, Gerakan, or MIC despite our political differences.

Let me reiterate that the offer from DAP Perak to form a bipartisan flood relief team still stands despite the attack and accusation from Zambry and Chang as DAP Perak is committed to put the flood victims interest above all political interest.

Will Zambry and Chang Ko Youn right the wrong and stop playing politics by directing UMNO and Gerakan to form a bipartisan flood relief team with DAP Perak to help the 7,412 Perakians who have been displaced from their homes?
