Call on the voters of Selangor to vote for PH-BN coalition on August 12 to aim to make Malaysia a great world-class nation for the sake of our children and children’s children

Yesterday, I was in Sungai Pelek to campaign for the Pakatan Harapan candidate, Lwi Kian Keong, and this morning I covered three constituencies with the Pakatan Harapan candidates – Preakas Sampunathan in Kota Kemuning, Dr. Quah Peng Fei in Bandar Baru Klang and Leong Tuck Chee in Pandamaran.

I call on the voters of Selangor to vote for the Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional coalition on August 12 to aim to make Malaysia a world-class nation for the sake of our children and children’s children.

The Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim recently spelt out his Malaysia vision in Ekonomi Madani which among others, has the following objectives:

  • Top 30 biggest economies in the world in terms of nominal gross domestic products. Malaysia currently ranks 35.
  • Top 12 in IMD World Competitive Index. The current rank is 27.
  • Top 25 in the UN Human Development Index. Current rank is 62.
  • Top 25 in the Transparency International (TI) Corruption Perception Index (CPI). Current rank is 61.

Let us show our support for Anwar.

For the last few decades, Malaysia has been in national decline, losing out to Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and even Vietnam.

We are in danger of losing out to China, Indonesia, and India in the near future. We will lose to Indonesia and China in the Transparency International Corruption Perception Index before 2030- unless we buck up in our anti-corruption campaign.

Perikatan Nasional (PN) of PAS and Bersatu has no vision or plans for Malaysia to rise again and become a great world-class nation but a policy which will end up with Malaysia as a divided, failed and corrupt state.

In fact, under Muhyiddin Yassin as Prime Minister in 2020 after the infamous Sheraton Move political conspiracy, Malaysa fell to the worst ranking in one year in the TI CPI 2021 which had taken Malaysia 25 years to reach the worst ranking from 1995 – 2020: i.e. No. 62 out of 180 countries.

I call on the voters of Selangor to vote for PH-BN coalition on August 12, not only to defeat the PN plan to win power in Selangor state, but to aim to make Malaysia a great world-class nation for the sake of our children and children’s children.

All Malaysians, whether Malays, Chinese, Indians, Kadazans, Dayaks or Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Taoists, Sikhists must unite as Malaysians to save the country from becoming a divided, failed and corrupt state which is the end result of the PN plan – which is the least we can do for our children and children’s children.
