If indeed there is no conspiracy to deregister DAP, why does ROS need to meet Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to discuss over the fate of DAP?
Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s press secretary Tengku Sariffuddin Tengku Ahmad had last Saturday said the DAP should focus on its “serious predicament” with regard to using its logo in the next general election.
He is quoted as saying that the DAP does not know whether they will be allowed to use their infamous rocket logo in the coming general elections.
His statement proved that there is a malicious political agenda to deregister DAP.
Zahid denied that there was any attempts to dissolve DAP. However if ROS indeed stands on its own feet, why does the Director-General of ROS need to prepare a written report for Zahid? Why can’t ROS make the decision based on DAP’s party constitution and the laws of Malaysia? Did ROS report to Zahid over matters involving other societies registered in Malaysia? Why the special “treatment” for DAP?
ROS through their lawyers conceded in court that the ROS recognises that the DAP CEC elected on 29.9.2013 may carry out all its powers, functions and duties in the administration of the daily affairs of the DAP in accordance with the Constitution of the DAP. So why the validity of DAP CEC is still an issue?
Clearly, the legal issues revolving the validity of DAP CEC have all been settled in 2014. If we are still unsure whether DAP will be allowed to use our rocket logo in the in the coming general elections, it is solely because UMNO has not given up the idea, and we all know UMNO will not hesitate to abuse their power to achieve this evil idea.
Zahid claimed that ROS would act professionally. However, a re-election of DAP Central Executive Committee was held on in 2013. Why is it so difficult “to come to a final decision on the appeal by DAP”? What type of professionalism that requires 4 years to come to a final decision?
It is obvious that the decision is not for the DG of ROS to make. It is up to its political master to decide.
However, we DAP will not be cowed by anybody.
