With reference to media reports https://www.malaysiakini.com/news/453303 headlined “Auditor-general: Najib ordered tampering of 1MDB audit”, I feel compelled to report this alleged criminal wrongdoing to the police- to initiate the necessary criminal investigation on the former Prime Minister.
The allegations againts Najib, if found to be true- is tantamount to no less than criminal malfeasance, perversion of the course of justice, misuse and abuse of power, all for the ultimate purpose of expunging facts and inconvenient truths that reveals Najib and his kleptocratic practices to the Malaysian people.
The auditor general, Tan Sri Madinah Mohamad’s shocking revelation is thus far the most incriminating evidence against Najib with regards to the 1MDB scandal- in demonstrating to what extent the former PM is willing to manipulate government instruments and functions, to shield himself from being revealed as the power abuser whom he is.
One of the most salient question on the auditor general’s revelation, is on whose and what authority that Najib’s office- and furthermore Arul Kanda – ordering the audit director, and auditor general staffer to amend and expunge any part of the audit report for 1MDB?
An even more damning potential implication of Najib’s orchestration of this ‘1MDB audit tampering crisis’, is how it spells far reaching implications on the credibility of all audit reports during the kleptocratic BN regime. Have other heads of BN state government employed similar tactics and pressures to tamper audit reports to ensure clean bills of health for State government agencies?
