I would like to record my condolences to the family of the late S.Kumaravelan, who passed away yesterday, after an accident in Persiaran Paya Terubong, Penang.
It is an very unfortunate accident that costs a life. I would like to urge the Authority to have a safety audit on all the similar road signs setup in Penang as the original intention of such setup is to prohibit the heavy vehicles from using the stretch of the road and it should not be a safety hazard to the road users. Additional warning signage and road hump should be installed to slow down the speed of the vehicles along such stretch.
