That is nothing for Minister Michael Mayin to be proud of by merely having the “numbers” of dilapidated schools in Sarawak

That is nothing for Minister Michael Mayin to be proud of by merely having the “numbers” of dilapidated schools in Sarawak while knowing the fact that 1,454 dilapidated schools are the numbers accumulated by the Barisan Nasional in the past due decades as ruling government.

As, once, part of the Barisan Nasional, Minister Michael Mayin should be courage to own the fault committed, and I urge him not to talk as if he has nothing to do with the huge accumulated amount of dilapidated schools.

There is no justification for him to stand on high moral ground and criticized Federal Deputy Education Minister Teo Nie Ching for not knowing the exact number off hand.

Deputy Minister Teo Nie Ching was just assumed office less than a month and she was assigned to come to Sarawak to visit the victim of the fire incident occurred in school recently on a very last minute arrangement. It is understandable for the Deputy Minister not having the exact number off hand while interviewed by the reporter on the issue.

What is so proud for the Minister Micheal Mayin to have the numbers but sat on it in the past? He himself has even admitted that Sarawak has been neglected in the past 50 years by BN Government in which he was one of them. My simple question to him is: what has he done in the past few decades?

Minister Michael Mayin has been in BN ruling government for many years started as ADUN for and now State Minister for Education.

He may try to tell the people that he is not BN by wearing a new gown called GPS. But Sarawakian will not forget the current GPS was the one supported UMNO and Najib administration wholeheartedly, and thus comes to the numbers of 1,454 dilapidated schools in Sarawak.

Furthermore, Minister Micheal Mayin was so ridiculous to put the blame on Deputy Minister Teo Nie Ching for failure to address the issue of 371 schools in Sarawak which are without grid electricity supply and 428 schools are without treated water supply.

Water and electricity supply are under the jurisdiction and responsibility of the Sarawak Government. He has to point finger to himself.

From his statement against Teo Nie Ching, it shows that Michael Mayin is amongst the members of the GPS who are still sour due to the defeat of Najib.
