Yesterday, Perak ruler, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah cautioned the people not to deny the existence of the corruption that is vividly happening in front of our eyes.
It is a well-known fact that all Barisan Nasional component parties condoned and supported former Prime Minister, Najib Abdul Razak when he and his den of thieves were blatantly stealing from 1MDB fund. The looting was also conducted under the noses of the Attorney-General, Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission chief, police chief and Bank Negara at the time.
MCA even claimed that the Malaysia Chinese community needed more UMNO leaders like Najib. The statement from MCA Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Ti Lian Ker yesterday asking the Malaysians to forgive Najib, therefore, did not come as a surprise.
Is MCA a political party that accepts corruption and stealing from the people? How much stolen money from 1MDB has been given to MCA?
It is said that “Justice is blind” because the legal system is objective and unbiased. Even the Chinese have a saying "自作自受" which can be translated as “you reap what you have sown” and this is something that Ti Lian Ker has to learn. If justice can be mocked in the name of forgiveness and sympathy, then, people will no longer have confidence in our country’s justice system.
Meanwhile, forgiveness is tied to a change of one’s way of life, restitution and a sense of remorse which, till today, has not been exhibited by Najib. Sympathy cannot be shown to Najib, until he has paid for his crime as a non-VIP convict.
I dare Ti to organise a petition to ask MCA members and the people to forgive Najib over his crimes.
