I call on the voters in the six state polls in Kedah, Penang, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Kelantan and Terengganu to start a new era in Malaysia as a great world-class nation by voting for Pakatan Harapan/Barisan Nasional candidates.
I am 82 years old. A few days ago, I fell in my house and I walk with a limp.
I am not a candidate in the six state polls on August 12 but I am as busy as any candidate in the six state polls.
I have visited ten DAP state constituencies and one UMNO constituency in Penang, 12 DAP constituencies and one UMNO constituency in Selangor and three DAP constituencies in Negeri Sembilan.
I am now visiting the two state constituencies that DAP is contesting in Kedah.
Perikatan Nasional (PN) of PAS and Bersatu hopes to win big in the six state polls on Saturday. It hopes to win 5-1 if not 6-0.
It will be a national disaster if the PN wins any of the the three states of Penang, Selangor and Negri Sembilan.
I myself expects the status quo of 3 -3 to be maintained, but I hope to see PH-BN make gains in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu as compared to the previous general election in 2018.
The PKR Secretary-General and Home Minister, Saifuddin Nasution believes that there is a chance that the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government in Kedah will fall, which will be a good development.
What is important is that all political parties must promote national unity among Malaysians, regardless of race, religion or region, and to NOT to promote racial and religious tension and ill-will.
DAP has right from beginning in 1966 believes that Malaysia can only succeed if all races, religions and cultures co-exist and learn from each other, and not one race, religion or culture dominating the others.
Malaysia can only succeed if all races and religions co-operate with one another to achieve political stability, which hopefully will strengthen after Saturday on August 12 and not weaken.
