I call on the voters of Prai to elect the Pakatan Harapan/Barisan Nasional candidate, S. Sundarajoo as the Prai Assemblyman to achieve three objectives:
- A better and more progressive Prai;
- Make Penang as a world city; and
- Malaysia rises again to become a great world-class nation.
The voters of Prai must not allow differences of opinion anywhere or non-issues to obstruct the achievement of these three objectives.
There are people who say that Chow Kon Yeow would not become the Penang Chief Minister or that he would not serve his full term of five years but these have been refuted by the DAP national leadership, and there is no reason why they should continue to be issues.
There are people who say that Sundarajoo is not a Penangite when he has been staying and working in Penang for 20 years and have voted three times.
But most important of all, the three objectives of electing Sundarajoo as Prai state assemblyman on Saturday are (i) to ensure a better and more progressive Prai; (ii) make Penang a world city; and (III) to ensure that Malaysia rises up again to become a great world-class nation and stop the sad story of Malaysia losing to one nation after another.
The Sundarajoo I know is a sincere and hard-working man who knows what is right and wrong.
He knows the meaning of justice, compassion and solidarity.
I have no hesitation to recommend Sundarajoo for election as Prai State Assemblyman in Penang.
I will take this opportunity to ask every Malaysian not only to cast his or her vote, or ensure that their children and near ones come back from outstation or overseas to vote, but to become campaign workers to explain why it is important to vote this Saturday.
Every vote counts, and this is not the time to boycott election or split the vote as the choice of whether Malaysia continues with the national decline or rise up again to become a great world-class nation is unlikely to come again.
