A viral video circulating online appears to show the detainee not being handcuffed at the time of escape. If this is true, it raises serious and troubling questions. If it is not, the authorities must immediately clarify. Either way, the silence and delay in providing clear answers are unacceptable.
Who was responsible? Why is there still no clear explanation after seven days? Enough delay. Enough uncertainty.
