PAS and Bersatu leaders are making baseless claims that the Anwar unity government at national level will fall if Perikatan Nasional (PN) wins big in the six state polls on August 12.
The very fact that none of them could explain how Anwar Ibrahim could be removed as the 10th Prime Minister shows they are as blur as anyone as to how the Anwar unity government could be removed whatever happens in the six state polls on August 12.
The PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has claimed that PN’s victory in the state polls is of utmost importance to change the federal government.
He said: “If we win, then there will be a change of federal government. That is what it means.”
But Hadi is unable to say how this change of government could be done.
Hadi should be punished for masterminding the Sheraton Move political conspiracy which toppled the Pakatan Harapan government in February 2020 after 22 months.
Instead, he is asking the people to support him in a second Sheraton Move political conspiracy to topple the Anwar Ibrahim unity government.
In the Pakatan Harapan government from 2018 – 2020, Hadi agitated for the toppling for the Pakatan Harapan Government on the basis of lies, falsehoods, fake news and hate speech, using irresponsible race and religious rhetorics that the Malay race and Islamic religion were under threat.
He accused the then Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohmad as my pawn and stooge and that the Pakatan Harapan government was DAP-dominated, using as evidence Mahathir’s speech in the United Nations General Assembly in Sept. 2018 to ratify the International Covenant on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) and the Rome Treaty.
Will Mahathir tell Hadi the truth that the DAP was not involved in any way in his speech to the UN General Assembly in Sept. 2018 and that the DAP, whether through Cabinet Ministers or the DAP political leadership, never asked Mahathir to go to the UN General Assembly to promise to ratify ICERD or the Rome Treaty?
Bersatu deputy president Ahmad Faizal Azumu also said there are other ways the federal government can be changed, despite the anti-party-hopping law being in force.
Although Hadi and Faizel said there are legal ways under the Federal Constitution to topple the Anwar unity government, the obvious fact that they could not demonstrate one way to topple the Anwar unity government is proof that they are as ignorant as anyone as to how to topple the Anwar unity government with the new law barring Members of Parliament from hopping parties, and with PN policy which does not recognise Sabah and Sarawak as legitimate and equal partners in the formation of Malaysia.
Malaysia should not go back to the days where there were three Prime Ministers in five years.
Malaysia needs political stability and national unity of Malaysians, regardless of race, religion or region for Malaysia to rise again to become a great world-class nation.
This is what the voters of the six state polls on August 12 should vote for – to support Anwar for Malaysia to rise again to become a great world-class nation.
If Anwar fails in his promise to make Malaysia a great world-class nation, then the time to make the judgement and to punish Anwar is the 16th General Election in 2027, and not on August 12, 2023.
There must be no split vote, protest vote or stay-away vote, for every vote counts if Malaysia is to rise again to become a great world-class nation.
