The Ministry of Youth and Sports is set to provide big screen events in all states, allowing fans to witness the national squad’s action in the ongoing Asian Cup in Doha, Qatar.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh, mentioned that these large screens will broadcast all three matches involving the national squad.

“KBS will provide large screens for all three Harimau Malaya matches. Make sure to come and support the Harimau Malaya team,” she urged.

The national squad will kick off their Asian Cup campaign against Jordan on January 16, followed by matches against Bahrain on January 20 and South Korea on January 25.

In the meantime, Hannah also extended her best wishes for the success of Harimau Malaya, along with congratulations to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and coach Kim Pan-gon for successfully advancing to the biggest Asian competition.

“I congratulate the Harimau Malaya team in Qatar now. This achievement, after more than 40 years of anticipation, is a proud moment for the Malaysian people.

“Remember when you step onto the field later, if you believe you can, you will undoubtedly perform at your best. I also congratulate FAM and Pan-gon for their efforts in assisting the Harimau Malaya team to progress this far,” she stated.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also extended his best wishes to the team stating, “After 42 years, Harimau Malaya is back in action on the stage of the 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar. I wish them good luck and express my strong belief that the team under coach Kim Pan-gon can provide formidable competition in this tournament.”
