In conjunction with Chinese Premier Li Qiang’s official visit to Malaysia this week, His Excellency and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim have signed 13 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in which two of the MoUs were within the Ministry of Communications. Deputy Minister, YB Teo Nie Ching represented the Ministry for the exchange of MoUs with Chinese Ambassador Ouyang Yujing.
Firstly, an MoU between the Government of Malaysia and China Media Group which seeks to enhance, support, and foster collaboration in broadcasting, media, and the creative sector between China and Malaysia which aids in enhancing our media environment and promoting more cultural interaction.
In addition, The State Post Bureau and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) have signed an MoU which aims to enhance collaboration in the postal sector, guaranteeing improved and more effective postal services between the two countries.
These agreements represent a notable advancement in our bilateral relations, indicating more collaboration in the future between China and Malaysia.
