I am pleased to announce the successful completion of our ‘Study Continuation Incentive Award Ceremony 2024,’ which took place at SJK (C) Chung Hua Bau. As one of our initiatives under our tagline, “Dari Anak Mas Gading untuk Anak Mas Gading yang Berjaya Ke Menara Gading,” this event recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of 207 ‘Anak Mas Gading‘ who have successfully entered higher education institutions. This celebration honors all students, regardless of their parent income and academic results, highlighting their journeys toward higher education.
Since its inception in 2019, this program has attracted growing applicants from 30 recipients to 207 recipients this year. While financial incentives were distributed as a form of encouragement, this event was not just about monetary rewards. This award symbolizes our recognition of their determination and commitment to furthering their studies.
I firmly believe that education is the key to the future of our community, and as such, I remain committed to ensuring equal opportunities for students, especially those in rural areas. As a member of Parliament for Mas Gading, it is my long-term goal to provide them with the same access to educational resources as those in cities, aligning with our mission of reducing educational disparities.
At the ceremony, I emphasized an important message for the youth of Mas Gading: as they pursue their goals, it is crucial to remember the value of giving back to their community by uplifting and supporting those around them, particularly in their villages.
To underscore the importance of the event, we were fortunate to welcome our guest of honor, Cikgu Ahmad Faisal, better known as Cikgu Emmet, a remarkable influencer. He generously shared his valuable insights and motivational lessons with the students, and his presence was a clear testament to his dedication to education and the development of young people.
Moving forward, I am determined to sustain our efforts in empowering the youth of Mas Gading, helping them reach their educational aspirations, and fostering their contributions to the growth of our country.
