1. I have read the statement issued by Malaysian Indian People’s Party (MIPP) Deputy President S. Subramaniam who has criticised the Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for the recent announcement by the Prime Minister that the government will not subsidise the education of the children of the wealthy.
2. Which part of this policy S.Subramaniam does not understand?
3. Do you not realise that this policy will actually benefit the children from poor families, be it Malays, Chinese, Indians and other races as well as ensure that they too get equal opportunities especially in public institutions of higher learning like universities and polytechnics ?
4. This policy when implemented by the present government will also ensure that the children from poor background will not be put at a disadvantage when it comes the pursuit of educational excellence simply because they come from poor families.
5. How many times do we hear of children from poor families unable to pursue studies in their chosen field like medicine, engineering, or law simply because they are poor.
6. Why can’t the Malaysian Indian People Party a component in Perikatan Nasional appreciate and complement the efforts of the Prime Minister who is constantly striving to close the gap between the rich and poor, now even when it comes to the pursuit of academic excellence by giving children from poor families equal opportunities as the rich.
7. Let me ask S.Subramaniam of the Malaysian Indian People Party , in comparison what did Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin do for the poor when he was a Prime Minister, apart from announcing endless Movement Control Orders piling more misery on Malaysians during the COVID19 pandemic.
8. Malaysians can still remember the dark days of the Movement Control Orders when we were all subjected to all sorts of misery just after Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s treacherous Sheraton move.
9. We can still remember when Malaysians were advised by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to fly white flags outside their homes if they wanted help or if there was no food at home to seek help from neighbours rather than from Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s backdoor government.
10. We can still remember the sight of Malaysians hanging themselves from pedestrian bridges as they lost hope of survival during the Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s various Movement Control Orders.
11. My advise to S.Subramaniam of the Malaysian Indian People Party and Perikatan Nasional is simply this, it’s not a sin to be born rich in Malaysia, it’s a sin not to help the children of the poor especially when it comes to the pursuit of education. Perikatan Nasional will never understand this because it is a coalition of treacherous sinners.
