I strongly condemn the racist statement made by Perak PAS chief Razman Zakaria and such statements and thinking of a main leader in PAS shows how PAS is unfit to govern a multicultural & multireligious country like Malaysia.
This is in response to his statement where we said “We ask those whose eyes are like this (while pointing to his eyes), skin like this (while pointing to his skin), and blood like ours, we must unite, this is the struggle we champion,”
On top of spreading lies and slander towards the government on purpoted event at Menara Condong Teluk Intan, he chose to resort to racist statement to instigate hate among the different races of Malaysia.
Before this, the Perak PAS chief even tried to paint the Chinese community in Malaysia as unpatriotic over the incident.
Such statement is not just an insult to our community in Malaysia, but a clear form of “hate speech” to further divide and instigate hate among the different races.
There should not even be any question of our loyalty and love for our beloved nation of Malaysia, and as a responsible leader, he should have rallied all Malaysians to unite, not just a particular community against one another.
We in DAPSY will make a police report against him and I urge the authorities to carry out an investigation without fear or favor against Razman Zakaria. Once proven he should experience the full force of the law for instigating hate and clearly touching on 3R matters.
Diversity and multiculturalism is our strength and heritage. That is why I urge all Malaysians to reject such extreme politics and seek for peace and understanding among all races as we all have a part to play in rebuilding our beloved nation.
