We stand in full support of the families affected by the recent flood in Arena Kepayang Putra, Ipoh.
Over the past three days, our DAP Kepayang service team, along with the Tindak DAP unit led by Sdr KK Wong, has undertaken the following actions:
- Coordinated with various government agencies to evacuate flood victims to shelter centers ✅
- Distributed free bottled water to the affected families ✅
- Mobilized over 350 personnel, including Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh (MBI), Bomba, and NGOs, to carry out cleanup efforts, clearing 285 metric tons of debris ✅
- The Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS) has constructed and raised a 600-meter-long river embankment, and a new pump will be installed immediately ✅
- Disbursed RM255,000 in financial aid, with each family receiving RM1,000 ✅
- The MADANI government, through Sdr Nga Kor Ming, has approved RM108 million in flood mitigation projects to be tendered immediately ✅
- MBI is focusing on cleaning blocked drains and improving the irrigation system ✅
- Secured CSR support from Pantai Hospital and the Perak Furniture Association to donate 200 mattresses to the affected families ✅
