Pakatan Harapan has won the most number of seats in the 15th General Election (GE15) in comparison to Perikatan Nasional and Barisan Nasional.

The coalition lead by Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim captured a total 82 seats. The breakdown of seats is as follows:

The Democratic Action Party (DAP) won 40 seats, Party Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) won 31 seats, Amanah won another 8 followed by the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) who won 2 seats and Muda who won one seat.

However, the coalition did not secure enough seats to form a government and will need to work with other parties to reach a simple majority.

GE15 marks the first time an election has ended in a hung Parliament.
